First off, I want to take a second to congradulate both of you on making it this far. In games like this, it becomes extremely difficult to form bonds with people who live hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away from you. Both of you did an excellent job of making friends and sticking to the things you said. I believe that is why you survived longer than the rest of us. Now onto the questions.

My question for Christy:

I'm having a hard time thinking of a question to ask you, because we were friends and I want to get something outta you that'll help me make my decision and still be courteous to you at the same time. Both you and Steve had enough respect for me that you told me I was getting voted out. So my question for you is about honesty. You said that you never actually made an alliance, well it seems that many on the Jury would disagree with that statement. Please explain to me how you decided to take Steve with you instead of Foster, if you didn't have an alliance with Steve.

My question for Steve:

Steve, your question isn't coming along any easier. You were my theatre buddy. We talked more about real life than we did about the game. You knew exactly when to talk strategy and when to just be yourself. Then when it came down towards the end, you put your gameface on and kicked all our asses in the challenges. I just want to ask you your strategy. You walked around words like nobodies business. I mean, you told both Tom and I that you thought it was best to go with us and knock out Christy and Foster. Don't take me the wrong way, lying is a part of this game. I just want you to describe to me what your strategy was coming into this game, throughout the game and ultimately how you plan on winning this game.

Right now, I don't have a decision made simply because the two of you are freaking so close to me. So please put your all into these answers....they'll most likely be my deciding factor.

Hey Jason!!!

From rumors I heard in the last week, I’m glad you asked this question so I can explain how things were.

First, on honesty - I believe I have been honest throughout this game. I don’t recall lying to anyone. I might not have shared complete information, or changed my mind after a discussion with someone (*apologizing for a surprise vote on Thomas*), but never intentionally lied to anyone.

Second, an alliance or no? - From the VERY beginning of the game, the very FIRST conversation I had with Foster AND Steve, I knew immediately we would be great friends. We never talked game until we hit the merge. That’s when the three of us happened into a strategy chat and in just going through who was in the tribe, their trust level, activity level, and strength in challenges, one by one… we got down to the three of us. In NO conversation between the three us, between Foster and myself, OR between Steve and myself, will you find us talk about us being in an alliance. We were, in my opinion, instant friends who felt the same way on voting, and due to that friendship, I stuck with them through the end.

As for me choosing Steve over Foster…. my goodness…. that was an agonizing decision . Up until the very last week, I thought in my mind that if I were to win immunity I would take Foster, just because we had such a connection. Then I started thinking about the differences between Steve and Foster and I realized they are actually on the same level of friendship for me, same connection – just different intensities. With Foster, in that last week, conversations with him brought in some questions for me. He had mentioned how he had kept secrets from me, how if I won I had no obligation to take him with me, and from what used to be talking every other day (if not every day), became several days without him being online (or rather, back from away). Having that span of time not talking with him on the heels of him sharing that he’s kept secrets, made me believe that maybe I had been brought along for a ride, and that possibly in his mind I wasn’t a friend, but a pawn.

Aside from the “drama” in my head pushing me from Foster – I started to think of Steve. Challenge wise, Steve and I both won 3 challenges. He maybe didn’t have as much involvement in strategy talk, but was definitely a part of those discussions and helped plan to get us to F3. If I had had an alliance with Steve for F2, I would not have weeks ago joked about F2 with Foster. If I had had an alliance with Foster, Steve would not be with me today. I regret that my decision was going to cut off one of two very good friends. In my mind – neither one of them would have guaranteed a win for me and both deserve to be here. So, my ultimate decision came down to the challenges, and the doubts placed in my brain where Foster was concerned (which have now been answered – still luv Foster!)

I would be in AWESOME company, no matter which one I brought with me.

Good question.

You're right, I know what I'm doing in this game and I talk a lot about non-game related things, and it helps me in the game, but it's not just strategy, it's more about actually making friends. And, we very rarely talked about the game, like you mentioned, but I was completely truthful with you whenever we talked about strategy. When Tom asked me to have a final three with the both of you, I was completely honest with you about my reservations about going against Christy and Foster. But, that I knew it would be a smart strategic move.

As far as my overall strategy, at the merge, my goal was to win as many immunity challenges as possible. And to be in the majority and not cause too much trouble.
